Internal Family Systems IFS

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a psychotherapy model that helps people understand and heal their internal system. It's based on the idea that the mind is made up of multiple sub-personalities, or "parts", that interact with each other like a family.

How it works

  • IFS therapy helps clients identify and understand their different parts
  • Clients learn to recognize, accept, and work with these parts instead of suppressing or fighting them
  • The goal is to develop a compassionate relationship with each part so that the client can achieve greater well-being

In a similar way to Matrix Re-Imprinting IFS connects with parts that are experiencing a traumatic experience and releases the experience creating resourcing in the system and releasing false beliefs and other burdens taken on at that time
