Homeopathy and Flower Essences

Homeopathy is a holistic system of healing, suitable for anybody of any age.

Homeopathy recognises that the physical body and the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of a person are all connected and affect each other. Homeopathy is based on the ancient principal of ‘like cures like’. It focuses on the client as an individual, concentrating on treating the underlying dis-ease that manifests itself in his or her unique physical, mental or emotional symptoms. It is a system of treatment which assists the body’s natural tendency to heal itself.

Remedies made from natural substances (mainly from plants and minerals), work with the body’s energy to restore the whole person to a state of health and wellbeing. Homeopathy uses very small doses of natural medicines which have been carefully and specially prepared and are proven to be safe and effective in treating most health problems, physical, mental and emotional. Homeopathy is safe and gentle.

Homeopathy has been used for almost any complaint – physical and psychological – from hormonal, digestive and respiratory complaints to eczema, allergies, childhood illnesses, sports injuries, through to anxiety, panic attacks and depression.

Homeopathy has been in use for 200 years. It is the practice of treating like with like, so for example Coffea, the remedy derived from coffee (which produces sleeplessness) is used to promote restful sleep. The substance used in preparing the remedy is extremely dilute – usually to the point where there is no material trace of the original substance left – so there are no toxic effects. Quantum Physics determines that man’s physical and emotional makeup is governed by our energy system. The process of making a homeopathic remedy creates an energy substance which is then taken as a trigger for healing to our energy system.

Flower Essences

The healing powers of flowers were known millennia ago in Greece and Egypt. They were rediscovered in the first half of the last century by Dr Edward Bach whose ‘Rescue Remedy’ combination is probably the best known. While practicing as a medical doctor and then a homeopath, he identified that many of his patients had unresolved emotional disturbances. He surmised that these emotional problems were the cause of many of their ills and if he could help people heal at the emotional level, their physical ailments might also improve.

More recently, Essence makers have been using the energy of gems and minerals, animals and healing environments to create Essences. Just as with flowers, these things have their unique energy patterns which can contribute to the healing of our own energy systems.

Essences act as catalysts for change and transformation. They assist in clearing the energy disruptions or blocks that create our emotional and physical dis-ease. Thus they complement beautifully the work we will be doing.
